About Myself

Hi! I’m Becky Peyton. I am the daughter of Missionaries Dan and Edith Peyton. My amazing parents have given of themselves sacrificially in Chihuahua, Mexico for over twenty-five years. I also have three incredible younger siblings, Brian, Jonathan, and Jenny.

I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior at the age of four, while my family was on deputation to go to Mexico. When I was six, my family headed for the mission field. We spent two years in central Mexico, in the city of Monterrey, while my parents studied at language school.

When I was eight, the Peyton family moved to Chihuahua, Mexico.  Chihuahua City is the capitol of Chihuahua State, the largest state in Mexico. Located in northwestern Mexico, Chihuahua City is just five hours south of El Paso, Texas.

As a child and a teenager, I had the incredible experience of being a part of the birthing of a church in Chihuahua.  After graduating from highschool, I served with my parents on the field for several years. I was able to see God working in the lives of people in remarkable ways and even had a small part in influencing lives as I served in many different church ministries.

In 2014, I came to the States to stay with my grandmother for a time during my grandfather’s passing. I fully intended to return to Mexico, but the Lord has had other plans for me. I went off to Bible college and graduated, first with an Associates’ Degree. Then, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in 2019. During this time, I had the opportunity to publish a book which had been on my heart for nearly a decade, Seven Single Women of the Bible.  Many people have asked me if I am writing another book.  The answer is, yes!

I am currently teaching at a Christian school in Indiana. This is a new experience which is challenging me and growing me in ways I have never grown before. God has given me fifteen children to love and nurture. It has been an awesome experience to see Him at work in the lives of these young people.
